The story of Nanny’s apple strudel

Nanny — from the book  Too Many Visitors for One Little House– makes the best apple strudel recipe

Nanny grew up with an apple orchard in her back yard. She LOVES apples.

Nanny says: “Eating an apple before going to bed will make the doctor beg his bread.”

She also says: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!”

Both mean the same thing — apples are GOOD FOR YOU!

Enjoy making apple recipes with Nanny!   You can make it too with help from your mom, dad, nanny, or granny.
